I LOVE them. Currently, the largest set you can buy is 72 and that does the job just fine, but I'm a lazy colorist and a color addict, so I would be the first one in line to buy an even bigger set it they ever made one. I would highly recommend these as a very first colored pencil for someone who has never used colored pencils, or as an experienced Colorist, to supplement what you already have.
Want more detail about why? Then read on. If not, stop here.
I got into adult coloring at the start of 2023 and in that time, I've tried countless brands of pencils and learned a lot from trial and error. One of the most important things I've learned is that when it comes to colored pencils, it's important to match the pencil to the paper. The same brand/set of pencils may work GREAT in one coloring book or on one type of paper, but will be a total disappointment on another. The wrong combination will suck all the fun out of coloring, and then what's the point?
Beyond that, basically, there are two different types of pencils: mostly wax based and mostly oil based. Mostly wax pencils are softer and put down lot of color very quickly - even with light pressure - but used with too much pressure and/or on the wrong paper, the color can start to get clumpy and uneven really fast. They also wear down fast, so you have to sharpen them more often. Mostly oil based pencils are much firmer. Good ones will also give you rich, intense color, however, unless you're really heavy handed, you'll have to spend more time on each area to get there. The benefit of oil based pencils is that they hold their point for much longer and can create thin, crisp lines. That means, if you're working on a lot of tiny details or small spaces, you will get much better color control and you won't have to sharpen nearly as often. Depending on what you're coloring, it helps to have one set of each type.
Or . . . you can buy the Amazon Basics as they do both of those jobs really well. Whether I'm working on small-ish repeated patterns or large areas, I'm able to get smooth, even, alcohol marker like coverage with very little effort, yet they still hold their point for doing detail work. If you're only using pencils, they blend beautifully one color over another to create new colors. If you're feeling experimental (or want to speed up the coloring process), they add "pop" and dimension to your work when you use them on top of water or alcohol based markers of any quality or brand.
Bonus: they work well on most types of paper and have some colors that are not commonly found in mid-grade colored pencil sets (like very pale baby blue). The tips don't break easily (unless you drop them on a hard surface and shatter the core) and they sharpen beautifully with a hand crank pencil sharpener.
Great set of pencils.
The core is extra thick, good arrange of colors and soft to apply, just some greens are a little scratchy.
I buy them on sale and only pay $11.58 for the 72 colors set.
I will definitely buy them if they came with a 300 set like other brands are doing, I love big sets of color pencils specially if they are good quality and excellent price like this ones.

These seriously surprised me. I'm such a colored pencil nerd. I'm swatching these within an hour after receiving them.
Pros: packaged securely, nice presentation nothing was damaged or dented. Pencil leads upon first use were all intact. I haven't sharpened them yet. There is no visible pencil dust on a simple smooth white cardstock(I prefer smooth and less toothy surfaces). They color very smoothly, no scratchiness, no marring and indenting the paper when you build up gradient. They have adequate pigmentation vibrancy. They have moderate blending capabilities upon first look and "play around". They are numbered and named.
Cons- there is no open stock to replace as needed, you have to buy the full sets which come in 3 quantities.
Just an FYI these are NOT like Prismacolor Premiers or even Faber Castell PolyChromos. They ARE a lot like the Faber Castell classic which I think only has 60colors on that line(I think the ones in the red packaging?). Now the Amazon ones are made in Vietnam. Faber Castell colored pencils (they have multiple lines) are for the most part made in Germany(with the exception of the Black Edition which I think is made in Brazil).
Overall- definitely get this set if the price drops, I have seen the 72ct for as much as $27. It's not worth that. I paid $15 which is perfect imo and slightly less than the range the comparable 60ct Faber Castell classic are(low $20s).
These are TRUE budget pencils (much better the crumbly off brands the color cults recommend and push through their affiliate links). They probably don't have the archival or light fastness but are adequate enough in quality to learn some techniques or just have fun coloring without being frustrating. I honestly can't believe I'd recommend Amazon brand pencils. But here we are. 🤪 Definitely good for kids and/or enthusiastic adult coloring fans who are just starting out.

You can do a lot of colouring before you have to sharpen them. Have had purchased expensive kinds, these will out do a number of them.
